Abhishek Anand represents Japan in T20 International cricket

Abhishek Anand, a 28-year-old cricket player born in the Rohtas district of Bihar, has become a regular member of the Japanese national cricket team. An alumnus of IIT Kanpur, Anand moved to Japan for employment with Accenture Japan after researching the potential for cricket in the country.

Since making his T20 International debut against the Cook Islands on May 9, 2025, Anand has appeared in 18 matches for Japan. He is a right-handed batter and right-arm medium-pace bowler who has scored 275 runs, including a career-high of 55. He is scheduled to participate in Japan’s first senior men’s international match against India on September 22, 2026.
