Abhishek Sharma linked to Sunrisers Hyderabad exit ahead of IPL 2027

Speculation has emerged regarding Indian batter Abhishek Sharma potentially leaving Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) ahead of the 2027 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. Reports suggest the move could be driven by dissatisfaction regarding captaincy decisions, specifically following the appointment of Ishan Kishan to leadership roles within the franchise.

While several teams, including Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans, Punjab Kings, and Delhi Capitals, have been linked to potential interest in Sharma, no official deal or transfer has been confirmed. Sunrisers Hyderabad CEO K. Shanmugam has reportedly dismissed the rumors, stating that the reports of Sharma leaving the team are not true.

Any potential change in team affiliation would need to follow official IPL regulations regarding player retention, release, or trade deals.
