Antigua and Barbuda hospitality sector launches training for CHOGM

The Antigua & Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association (ABHTA) has launched an enhanced version of its E.A.S.E. (Exceeding All Service Expectations) Customer Service Excellence Programme. The initiative is designed to prepare the nation’s hospitality and frontline professionals for the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).

The programme integrates specialized Commonwealth Cultural Awareness and Intelligence training to help participants navigate the diverse customs, communication styles, and expectations of visitors from the 56 Commonwealth nations. The training targets a wide range of customer-facing roles, including those in hotels, restaurants, transportation, marinas, and airports.

Key objectives of the training include improving emotional intelligence, managing conflict, demonstrating cultural sensitivity, and building customer loyalty to ensure Antigua and Barbuda is represented as a world-class tourism destination.
