Abia Warriors draw 2-2 with Ikorodu City in NPFL

Abia Warriors secured a 2-2 draw against Ikorodu City in their third Matchday encounter of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season at Enyimba Stadium. Despite coming from two goals down to earn the point, the Umuahia-based club remains without a victory this season, having collected only two points from three matches.

Assistant coach Bethel Orji attributed the team’s poor start to defensive errors, stating that many of the goals conceded have been “gifted” due to avoidable mistakes by defenders. While expressing frustration over the defensive lapses, Orji praised the players' fighting spirit in recovering from a two-goal deficit. The club now faces upcoming away fixtures against Sporting Lagos as they look to improve their defensive stability and scoring efficiency.
