Abidjan hosts ninth edition of Savings and Investment Fair

The ninth edition of the Savings, Investment, and Wealth Fair opened on October 22 at the Sofitel Abidjan Hôtel Ivoire. Co-organized by Ecobank Côte d’Ivoire and L’Agence, the two-day event focuses on financial education and investment strategies.

A central theme of the fair is the importance of early financial literacy. Experts, including representatives from Ecobank Côte d’Ivoire, the BCEAO, IPNETP, and Mastercard, participated in panels discussing how to teach children to manage money, distinguish needs from wants, and establish savings habits.

Participants aim to use the event to make financial management more accessible to households. Discussions include budgeting, regular savings, and understanding credit risks to prevent over-indebtedness. The program features conferences, practical sessions, and professional networking to help the public navigate available financial solutions.
