Abidjan power outages scheduled for September 21

The Compagnie Ivoirienne d'Électricité (CIE) has announced scheduled power disruptions in several districts of Abidjan for Monday, September 21, 2026. The outages will affect the Abidjan South zone, specifically the Cité SIR area in Koumassi, and the Abobo-Anyama axis, including Abobo Anador, Kennedy, Abobo Gare, Camp Commando, Abobote, and Sogephia.

According to the CIE, these interruptions are part of ongoing national efforts to strengthen the electrical grid. This work is part of a broader 700 billion FCFA investment plan led by CI-Energies to modernize the country's energy infrastructure. The company stated that teams are positioned to minimize inconvenience during the maintenance period.
