Abidjan to host inaugural 7.5 km Côte d’Ivoire corporate race

The first edition of the 7.5 km de Côte d’Ivoire is scheduled for November 14 in the Plateau district, the business center of Abidjan. Organized by Sports Entertainment Côte d’Ivoire, the event aims to use sport as a tool for professional cohesion, networking, and business opportunity creation.

Participating entities, including startups, SMEs, and large corporations, are encouraged to form teams of at least five runners. The competition will be decided by the cumulative time of each organization's five fastest runners, emphasizing collective performance over individual achievement. Organizers aim to attract approximately 100 companies and over 3,000 participants.

In addition to the competitive race, a non-timed 5 km walk will be available for employees and participants who prefer not to run. The technical route will connect Plateau to Treichville, finishing at the Palais des Sports and crossing the Félix Houphouët-Boigny bridge.
