Abiodun family awards ₦100m in scholarships to 831 students

The family of Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has awarded scholarships worth over ₦100 million to 831 indigent students. The awards were distributed through the Gbemiga Abiodun Memorial Education Support Programme, an initiative created to honor the memory of the governor’s late son.

Since its establishment in 2023, the programme has supported a total of 1,277 students. The most recent beneficiaries were selected from approximately 3,000 applicants via an online portal. The scholarship recipients include primary school pupils, secondary school students, technical college students, and those in tertiary institutions.
