Abivax appoints new commercial leaders ahead of U.S. drug launch

Abivax SA, a Paris‑based clinical‑stage biotechnology company, announced four senior commercial appointments covering marketing, patient services, sales, commercial operations and market access. The new leaders, including James Berger as Global Head of Marketing, bring decades of experience in immunology and gastroenterology product launches.

The hires are intended to strengthen the company’s commercial organization as it prepares to file a New Drug Application for its candidate obefazimod with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in the fourth quarter of 2026. Chief Commercial Officer Michael Nesrallah said the team will “play a critical role in preparing Abivax for a potential U.S. launch.”
