Żabka Group announces first dividend as takeover talks with 7‑Eleven owner intensify
Żabka Group will pay its first dividend since listing on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, totalling €124.57 million (about PLN 530.75 million). The dividend of €0.12 per share (≈ PLN 0.52) will be recorded on 27 July 2026, with payment on 31 July 2026. The record date for eligibility is 23 July 2026.
At the same time, market speculation has grown that Seven & i Holdings, the Japanese owner of 7‑Eleven, may acquire Żabka. Since the news on 16 July, Żabka shares have risen nearly 20 %. If Seven & i purchases more than 33.33 % of voting rights (the Luxembourg trigger) or 50 % under Polish rules, a mandatory squeeze‑out could be triggered. The largest current shareholder, CVC, holds 37.6 % of the shares, with PG Investments holding about 10 %. Żabka is valued at over PLN 33 billion, with the share price around PLN 33, roughly 53 % above its IPO price.
