ABO Energy wins German wind tender and announces multiple project sales

ABO Energy was awarded tariffs for three onshore wind projects in Germany’s May 2026 Federal Network Agency tender, covering a total capacity of 61.4 MW. The projects are located in Ohlenbüttel (Lower Saxony), Hünxe (North Rhine‑Westphalia) and Willingen (Hesse) and are slated for commissioning between autumn 2027 and autumn 2028. The average award price was 5.06 cents per kilowatt‑hour, lower than the previous round.

The company also completed sales of two German wind farms: the Marpingen repowering project in Saarland to Encavis and a turbine in Großenlüder to KB Renewables, both under construction and expected to be operational by mid‑2027. Permit applications for additional turbines at Kranenburg and Unna were submitted, and a lawsuit by the district of Kleve over wind‑energy zones was dismissed.

In the solar‑plus‑storage segment, ABO Energy launched sales of four projects: Würges (13 MWp/13 MW storage), Schlangenbad (20 MWp/16 MW), Ober‑Olm (18.9 MWp/14.2 MW) and Schömberg (6.95 MWp/6 MW), with commissioning dates ranging from mid‑2026 to July 2026.

Internationally, the firm is developing hybrid wind‑solar projects in Spain, totalling 433 MW, including a recent 70 MW wind project in Palencia paired with two 50 MW solar projects. In Colombia, ABO Energy agreed to sell a 37.8 MWac solar portfolio to the NOVVA Group, slated for early 2028.
