Abraham Grant named consultant for Aris Thessaloniki football club
Israeli football veteran Abraham Grant, 71, has been appointed as a consultant to the administration of Greek club Aris Thessaloniki. He is scheduled to arrive in Thessaloniki in mid‑August, accompanied by club president and managing advisor Irini Karypidi, and will remain for about twenty days.
During his stay Grant will inspect the club’s sporting facilities, meet with owners and staff, and prepare a report with recommendations on organisational structure, infrastructure upgrades and strategic planning. The club plans to have him on site before the upcoming Greek Cup tie against Anagennisi Karditsa (17‑19 August) and the first league match of the Stoiximan Super League against Kalamata.
Grant’s résumé includes a long tenure at Chelsea FC and experience with clubs in England, the United States and Africa, which the club hopes will inform a broader re‑organisation of Aris’s operations.
