Abrahamhof abandoned site catches fire near Passau
A fire broke out at the Abrahamhof, a long-abandoned former restaurant located in the woods near Neuburg am Inn in Lower Bavaria. The blaze, which started in the roof structure, spread to the rear section of the building. Emergency services conducted a large-scale operation to combat the flames, and no injuries have been reported.
The site has been vacant since the late 1990s and has frequently attracted visitors via social media, leading to issues with vandalism and illegal waste disposal. While the cause of this specific fire remains unclear, the location has a history of fire incidents. Local author Gabriele Hasmann previously noted in a book about Bavarian ghost stories that fires in the vicinity of the site have been a recurring theme since a 1939 plane crash.
