AbraSilver and Caasd announce major development projects

AbraSilver Resource Corp. has appointed John Naisbitt as Project Director for the Diablillos project in the Salta province of Argentina. Following the completion of a feasibility study in 2024, the company is transitioning the silver and gold project from the exploration phase toward construction. The appointment focuses on engineering, procurement, construction, and management (EPCM) to ensure cost control and timeline adherence at the high-altitude site.

In the Dominican Republic, the Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (Caasd) has launched a US$750 million bidding process for the Hatillo Dam Water Security Program. The initiative aims to expand potable water supplies for Gran Santo Domingo, Sánchez Ramírez, and Monte Plata. The project includes incorporating the Hatillo reservoir as a source, building water treatment facilities, and developing distribution networks. The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is providing guidance on the procurement framework for participating international and national firms.
