Abruzzo receives digital tourism award at TTG Rimini

The Abruzzo region has been awarded the ‘Italia Destinazione Digitale 2026’ prize in the category of ‘Most Widespread Accommodation Offer’. The recognition, presented by Data Appeal Company during the TTG Travel Experience in Rimini, highlights the region's excellence in territorial distribution and the accessibility of its hospitality structures.

Regional tourism official Daniele D’Amario noted that Abruzzo has surpassed 8.7 million tourist arrivals, establishing it as a year-round experiential destination. The region's success is attributed to an integrated governance model involving the Abruzzo Region, the local chamber of commerce system, and the network of protected parks and areas.

During the TTG event, regional representatives emphasized strategies to strengthen commercial relations and market opportunities through increased air connectivity and technological innovation.
