Abruzzo communities host religious festivals and tourism awards

Casalbordino is preparing for the annual celebrations of San Rocco on September 2 and 3, 2026. The festivities include religious services, a procession with the statue of San Rocco, and musical performances by the Euforia group and singer Ivana Spagna. The event is organized by the San Rocco Festival Committee with support from local authorities to honor the saint as a symbol of solidarity.

In Roseto degli Abruzzi, local political opposition groups, including SiAMO Roseto and Fratelli d’Italia, are calling for transparency regarding the remediation and safety works at the ex-piccionaia area. They have requested official clarification on the nature of materials remaining at the site to ensure public safety.

Additionally, Roseto degli Abruzzi held a ceremony on August 27 to recognize long-term visitors who have vacationed in the coastal town for over twenty years. The event aimed to celebrate the enduring relationship between the local tourism industry and loyal seasonal guests.
