Abruzzo Democratic Party warns of 56 million euro budget deficit

Silvio Paolucci, leader of the Democratic Party in the Abruzzo Regional Council, has raised alarms regarding a significant financial gap in the region's budget. He reported that the Board of Auditors issued an unfavorable opinion on the 2026-2028 budget adjustment.

According to Paolucci, there is a deficit of over 56 million euros that is not adequately covered. This includes approximately 45.2 million euros required to address litigation risks identified by the Attorney General's Office, as well as over 10.8 million euros in potential liabilities reported by the Department of Agriculture. Paolucci criticized the Marsilio administration for the timing of the discussion and the lack of sufficient documentation provided to the Council and Auditors.
