Abruzzo industry group reports 1.9% GDP rise and 23.5% export growth

The 2026 General Assembly of Confindustria Abruzzo Medio Adriatico was held in Città Sant'Angelo and drew more than 200 member companies from a network of over a thousand firms. President Lorenzo Dattoli said the Abruzzo region’s GDP grew 1.9% in 2025, well above the national average, and that export volumes jumped 23.5% in the first quarter of 2026, with a 68.3% surge toward the United States.

The meeting highlighted strategic priorities for the coming months: strengthening human‑capital development, accelerating digital transformation, promoting sustainability, expanding international market access and bolstering the association’s representative role. Awards were presented to 22 enterprises with over fifty years of continuous operation, recognizing their contribution to regional employment and investment. A special commendation went to Bruno Antinucci of CAMIS S.r.l. for exemplary dedication and entrepreneurial spirit.
