Abruzzo landscapes highlight Chamois history and Gran Sasso beauty

The landscapes of Italy's Abruzzo region are highlighted through historical and natural perspectives. In Chamois, the history of cereal cultivation and processing is preserved through remnants of traditional infrastructure, such as water mills and wooden structures used for drying and storing grain. These tools, ranging from ancient stone grinders to medieval rotary mills, were essential for local food security and became significant instruments for feudal taxation.

In the Gran Sasso massif, the Corno Grande peak is captured in a photographic study by Andrea Fiordigiglio. The imagery focuses on the mountain's reflection in clear water, creating a visual symmetry between the sky and the landscape. The scene emphasizes the natural, untouched beauty of the Abruzzo wilderness, showcasing the rugged rock profiles and snow-filled cavities of the mountain without human interference.
