Abruzzo and Calabria report regional leadership, political, and labor issues

Various regional developments are occurring across Italy. In Abruzzo, the Roseto 2 Comprehensive Institute will continue to be managed in regency due to a shortage of school principals. Mayor Mario Nugnese noted that while 17 positions remain vacant in the region, the Ministry of Education has only provided resources for five appointments, forcing schools to prioritize certain areas over others.

Political activity is also high in Abruzzo. Fratelli d’Italia has launched a series of community meetings in the Teramo province to discuss government work, while Avanti PSI is mobilizing to address youth emigration and the lack of economic opportunities for young people and small business owners in the region.

In Calabria, the ‘Feste dei Minatori’ (Miners' Festivals) took place in Pagliarelle. Organized by Fillea CGIL, the event commemorated the 70th anniversary of the Marcinelle tragedy and focused on labor dignity, workplace safety, and the need for infrastructure to prevent local emigration.
