Abruzzo Region extends deadline for bicycle rack requests

The Abruzzo Region has extended the deadline to September 30 for entities to request bicycle racks to support cycling mobility. This extension follows an original deadline of September 7.

Part of the Cyros project, funded by the Interreg VI-A Italy-Croatia 2021-2027 Program, the initiative aims to strengthen the Adriatic-Ionian Cycle Path and promote sustainable tourism. The program focuses on enhancing services for the Via Verde della Costa dei Trabocchi and the regional cycling network.

Eligible applicants include tour operators, accommodation facilities, tourist attraction managers, local authorities, airport management companies, and other tourism service providers. The bicycle racks will be provided through a free loan-for-use agreement. The region intends to distribute at least ten racks, with the possibility of increasing this number based on available funding and procurement results.
