Abruzzo hosts regional sports calendars and cultural festivals

The Abruzzo region is hosting various cultural and sporting events. The LND Abruzzo has officially released the 2026/2027 regional football calendars, covering multiple categories including Eccellenza and Promozione. President Concezio Memmo highlighted the need for economic sustainability, noting that rising costs for players in the top three categories have reached 7.65 million euros. To support clubs, the organization is implementing measures such as agreements with Civil Protection for healthcare and projects to support clubs in small mountain municipalities.

In the cultural sector, 17 historical residences and palaces across Abruzzo will open to the public for free on August 30. This initiative, organized by Adsi Abruzzo, includes guided tours, exhibitions, and concerts, particularly in L’Aquila. Additionally, the Abruzzo Irish Festival has expanded, with events taking place in both Notaresco and Teramo.

In Viareggio, a closing event for the Stefania Sandrelli exhibition will be held at Villa Paolina on August 30, featuring a discussion on the actress's career and a guided tour of her filmography collection.
