Abruzzo Unveils 2026 Innovation Contest and Active Tourism Initiative

The Abruzzo region announced the thirteenth edition of the InnovAzioni 2026 startup contest, targeting 20 finalists from roughly 300 innovative firms active in the region. Applications are open until 30 September for SMEs, startups and university spin‑offs with projects developed in the past two years. Winners will present at the InnovAzioni Festival in Pescara on 22‑23 October and receive prizes including the Spirale dell’Innovazione and visibility on the InnovAzioni platform.

In parallel, the CNA‑Abruzzo‑promoted Active Abruzzo 2026 program was launched in Guardiagrele on 5 August with a round‑table on “tourism and craft”. The event, endorsed by the regional government and local chambers of commerce, will continue from 16‑18 September across Teramo, L’Aquila and Pescara, promoting active vacations and experiential tourism.
