Abruzzo's Insieme Social Festival draws 6,000, targets annual run

The inaugural edition of the Insieme – Festival del Sociale, organized by the Abruzzo regional Assessorate for Social Policies under assessor Roberto Santangelo, concluded with more than 6,000 participants over three days. The event featured over 100 speakers, 33 discussion panels, 60 exhibitors from third‑sector associations, and numerous workshops and concerts.

National officials attended, including Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani, Minister for Disabilities Alessandra Locatelli, and senior representatives from INPS, INAIL and professional orders, underscoring the festival’s aim to strengthen ties between central institutions and regional actors. Organizers plan to make the festival an annual gathering for the social sector, with a manifesto outlining ten points for future social policy collaboration in Abruzzo.
