DC Comics releases Absolute Batman #25 and expands Absolute Catwoman series

DC Comics has released Absolute Batman #25, marking the conclusion of the ‘The Straw Man’ story arc. The issue features a confrontation between Bruce Wayne and the Joker at Grimm Manor, where Batman discovers a version of the Batcave containing historical artifacts such as Roman and Samurai attire, suggesting a potentially ancient origin for the Joker. The issue concludes with a significant cliffhanger involving a pregnant Selina Kyle, hinting at a new origin for Damian Wayne within this universe.

Due to the impact of these revelations, the Absolute Batman series will enter a hiatus for the remainder of 2026. Additionally, DC announced that the Absolute Catwoman miniseries, written by Scott Snyder and Che Grayson, has been expanded from six to twelve issues. Che Grayson is set to take over as the sole writer for the additional six-issue installment.
