Absolute Batman animated series to launch with expanded CGI scope

DC Studios announced that it is developing an animated adaptation of the comic Absolute Batman. Creator Scott Snyder will serve as showrunner and executive producer, while original comic artist Nick Dragotta joins as producer. Snyder said the series will be “bigger, better and richer” than the source material, expanding key moments into fully realized CGI sequences. The production aims to retain the comic’s distinctive visual style while using three‑dimensional animation to bring Gotham’s world to life.
