Abu Dhabi adds two bus routes linking Etihad Rail station to city hubs

Abu Dhabi Mobility has introduced two new public‑bus lines, MR1 and MR2, that connect the Mohammed bin Zayed City Train Station with the Abu Dhabi Main Bus Station and Al Zahiyah Bus Station. The services run in both directions, giving Etihad Rail passengers a convenient option to travel to and from the railway station without needing a private vehicle.

The station serves Etihad Rail’s inaugural passenger route between Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, which began on 30 June 2026 with six daily trains and a journey time of about one hour and 45 minutes. Schedules for the new bus links can be checked via the Darbi mobile app or the Abu Dhabi Mobility website, and passengers are advised to allow extra time for transfers during busy periods.
