Abu Dhabi closes parks and beaches amid yellow weather alert

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a yellow alert for Abu Dhabi and surrounding areas, including Al Wathba and Al Khatim, due to expected thunderstorms, strong winds, and blowing dust.

In response to the unstable weather and heavy rainfall, the Abu Dhabi Municipality has temporarily closed all parks, recreational areas, and beaches, and has suspended all scheduled events until further notice.

Abu Dhabi Police have also implemented a speed reduction system on several roads, reducing limits to 80km/h on routes such as the Sweihan-Nahel, Al Khaznah-Remah, Umm Al Oush-Al Razeen, and Al Faya-Al Khatim roads to ensure safety during the rainy conditions.
