Abu Dhabi Department of Energy expands US strategic partnerships

A delegation from the Department of Energy – Abu Dhabi (DoE), led by Chairman Dr. Abdulla Humaid Al Jarwan, has completed an official visit to the United States to expand strategic partnerships in the energy and water sectors.

During meetings in Boston, New York, and California, the delegation engaged with universities, research centers, regulatory bodies, and global technology and investment firms. Discussions focused on advancing innovation in artificial intelligence, automation, quantum computing, and regulatory modernization to support Abu Dhabi’s transition toward a sustainable, knowledge-based economy.

A primary objective of the visit was to build international alignment around the Abu Dhabi Energy and Water Resilience Framework. The DoE aims to establish this framework as a globally recognized reference for managing the resilience of critical infrastructure. Additionally, the department invited international organizations to participate as strategic partners in the upcoming Abu Dhabi Water and Power Week 2026.
