Abu Dhabi falcon auction video debunked as misinformation

Viral videos claiming to show a girl being auctioned to the highest bidder in Arab countries are false. The footage actually depicts the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX), held in the United Arab Emirates from August 28 to September 6, 2026.

Fact-checking reveals that the auction involves falcons, not people. The girl seen in the videos is a young falconer participating in the event. Other footage from the exhibition shows the same individual on stage during falcon auctions, where birds are the subjects of the bidding.

One specific falcon, a Qarmousha Pure Ultra White, recently set a record at the auction with a price of approximately 352,949.55 euros. The event is organized by the ADNEC Group and serves to bring together prominent falconers and breeders from around the world.
