Abu Dhabi Registration Authority expands inspections of building materials sector

The Abu Dhabi Registration Authority (ADRA) has expanded its field inspection program to over 400 establishments within the building materials sector. The initiative, conducted in July 2026, aims to ensure manufacturing and sales operations comply with local laws, maintain market stability, and protect consumer rights by monitoring prices and service quality.

During the inspection of 414 specialized establishments, ADRA reported a compliance rate of 95.4 percent. However, the authority recorded 15 violations related to unjustified price increases and the failure to provide necessary sales and purchase invoices. Additionally, four formal warnings were issued to businesses found to be raising prices without justification.

ADRA Director General Mohamed Munif Al Mansoori stated that the regulatory framework seeks to balance business growth with the protection of consumer and trademark rights, supporting Abu Dhabi’s economic diversification and the stability of the real estate sector.
