Abu Dhabi teacher sentenced to two years in prison for assaulting students

An Abu Dhabi Criminal Court has sentenced a teacher to two years in prison and ordered his deportation following the physical assault of four students at a private school. The court also mandated that the defendant pay all judicial fees.

The teacher admitted to the assaults, claiming his actions were intended to maintain discipline and prevent classroom disruption. However, the court noted that surveillance footage captured the incident, revealing what it described as extreme violence and cruelty toward the pupils without justification.

The injuries sustained by the students prevented them from carrying out their normal activities for up to 20 days. In its ruling, the court stated that the assault constituted a breach of public security and order, emphasizing that such conduct violates laws designed to protect individual rights and ensure the safety and stability of society.
