Formula 1 confirms 2026 season calendar and Abu Dhabi finale
The Formula 1 2026 season calendar has been confirmed, featuring several notable changes and logistical shifts. The season is set to begin in Melbourne, Australia, and will conclude with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina Circuit from December 3 to 6.
Due to regional instability, the Bahrain Grand Prix has been relocated to the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, scheduled for October 2 to 4, 2026. While there was previous uncertainty regarding Middle Eastern races, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has reaffirmed that the calendar is confirmed.
Other key updates include the return of a race to Madrid on a new semi-permanent street circuit, while the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix will be removed from the schedule. Additionally, Qatar Airways Holidays has launched stopover packages for the 2026 Qatar Grand Prix at the Lusail International Circuit.
The Abu Dhabi season finale is expected to include a major entertainment program featuring artists such as Lewis Capaldi, Zara Larsson, and Imagine Dragons.
