Abu Dhabi upgrades holiday home licensing system

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has upgraded the emirate’s holiday home regulatory system to streamline licensing, compliance, and revenue management. The new digital platform is designed to reduce approval times and provide owners and operators with more flexible tools for managing their properties.

Building on 2024 improvements that integrated the platform with the Department of Municipalities and Transport, the upgrade introduces enhanced tools for monitoring, inspections, and compliance tracking. These measures aim to ensure operators maintain specific quality and safety standards while supporting Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030 to diversify accommodation options.

The updated system also improves coordination with government entities and enhances revenue management. DCT Abu Dhabi confirmed that the platform adheres to data protection policies, ensuring sensitive information is managed according to security and integrity requirements.
