Abu Garcia launches Revo MGX Gamma flagship spinning reel

Abu Garcia has released the Revo MGX Gamma, a renewed flagship spinning reel series marking the first major update to the Revo MGX line in approximately six years. The new model features a significant weight reduction, weighing approximately 15g less than its predecessor, the Revo MGX Theta, in the 2500SH size.

Key technical advancements include the ‘One-piece MagAlloy Body™’, which integrates the body cover into a single magnesium alloy unit to optimize weight and gear stability. The reel also utilizes a ‘C6 Carbon’ rotor and a ‘V-Rotor’ design to achieve low inertia and high rigidity.

A notable feature is the ‘2-way drag system’, which allows anglers to switch between ‘LIGHT’ and ‘TOUGH’ settings by changing the assembly order of the drag washers. This makes the series versatile for both finesse freshwater fishing and demanding saltwater environments.
