Abuja infrastructure projects targeted for completion by January

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has inspected several ongoing infrastructure projects in Abuja, receiving commitments from contractors to complete works by early 2025 or 2027 depending on the specific project timeline.

During inspections of the High Court project, the contractor CGC reaffirmed a commitment to hand over the site by December. Regarding the second bridge project near Kubwa and Karaduwa, the contractor noted that heavy rainfall had delayed earthworks but pledged completion by January 10.

Additionally, the Nile University to Ring Road project, handled by CCECC, is expected to be handed over by the first week of January. Wike expressed satisfaction with the progress and the quality of work, noting that these developments align with the infrastructure agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
