Abuja police arrest woman and hotel staff over dumped body

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested a woman and two hotel employees in connection with the death of a man whose body was discovered under the Katampe Bridge along the Kubwa Expressway in Abuja.

Investigations revealed that the deceased had been reported missing by his family prior to the discovery of his body on August 26, 2026. Police established that the man had lodged at the Good Samaritan Guest House in Gwarimpa with Rukayat Muhammed, a married woman with whom he was allegedly in a romantic relationship.

According to FCT Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohammed Sanusi, Muhammed allegedly discovered the man had stopped breathing but failed to alert authorities, instead leaving the premises with his mobile phone. Two hotel staff members, identified as Ibrahim Omeiza and Kefat Bitrus, were also arrested for allegedly removing the body from the guest house and dumping it by the roadside to conceal the death. The exact cause of death remains under investigation.
