ABVP launches nationwide protests against exam and recruitment irregularities in India

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) announced it will continue a nationwide campaign demanding transparent and accountable examination and recruitment processes. The student organization highlighted paper leaks and alleged irregularities in several states, including a police lathi‑charge in Punjab that injured activists, calls for a CBI probe into the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) veterinary officer recruitment, and demands for high‑level inquiries into the Patna University law entrance paper leak, Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) examinations, and other recruitment controversies.

On August 7, 2026, ABVP members staged a protest at Freedom Park in Bengaluru, reiterating their demand for a CBI investigation into the KPSC recruitment irregularities. The protests form part of a broader effort to press state governments and examination agencies for reforms and accountability.
