Abyan authorities advance water projects and humanitarian aid

Authorities in Abyan Governorate are advancing infrastructure and humanitarian efforts to address local needs. An engineering team, directed by Governor Mukhtar bin al-Khadr al-Rabash al-Haythami, conducted field surveys in the Sarar District to identify locations for two new artesian wells. Using geophysical equipment, the team identified promising groundwater sites near the Qarqar and Bayn al-Wadiyan areas, with planned drilling depths between 215 and 290 meters to support the Sarar General Water Project.

In a separate development, Governor al-Rabash met with representatives from the Al-Khair Coalition for Humanitarian Relief to discuss expanding aid and development programs across the governorate. The discussions focused on increasing interventions in vital sectors, including water, sanitation, food security, health, and education, with the governor emphasizing the need to reach all districts to support the most vulnerable populations.
