Abyan gas committee uncovers domestic fuel distribution fraud

The Gas and Petroleum Derivatives Committee in Abyan has uncovered widespread manipulation regarding domestic gas distribution agencies. Investigations revealed that official distribution licenses have been improperly granted to owners of commercial establishments and restaurants.

This practice allows commercial entities to secure large quantities of subsidized domestic gas for their own business operations, directly depleting the supply intended for citizens. This has led to severe shortages and long queues at distribution points. Local residents have called upon the Governor of Abyan, Mukhtar bin al-Khadr al-Rabash al-Haythami, to launch an urgent investigation, refer those involved to the Public Funds Prosecution, and revoke all licenses granted to commercial facilities to ensure fair distribution.
