Abyan school complex inaugurates new classrooms and solar power
Local officials in Abyan, Yemen, have inaugurated four new classrooms and a restroom facility at the Batiss School Complex. The project is part of a broader school rehabilitation initiative funded by CDCS and implemented by CARE International.
In addition to the new classrooms, the complex has been equipped with a solar energy system designed to power all classrooms and administrative offices. This installation aims to mitigate the impact of high temperatures on both students and teachers. Local authorities, including Secretary-General of the Abyan Local Council Mehdi Mohammed Al-Hamid, noted that the project helps reduce student density and improves the overall educational environment.
