Abyan security forces arrest gang leader in Al-Mahfad road blockade raid

Security forces in Yemen's Abyan Governorate conducted a targeted operation in the Al-Mahfad District to dismantle a gang responsible for blocking vital roads. The campaign, ordered by Governor Mukhtar bin al-Khadr al-Rabash al-Haythami, followed reports of armed elements obstructing travelers and threatening public security.

During the operation in the Dheeqa area, security forces engaged in armed clashes with the outlaws. The raid resulted in the arrest of the gang leader and several accomplices, who have been detained pending legal proceedings. Security forces are currently continuing searches to apprehend the remaining members of the group who fled the scene.

The local authority emphasized that any actions targeting the stability, development, or freedom of movement within the governorate will be met with firm legal action.
