AC Marca opens new R&D center in Barcelona

AC Marca, the Spanish multinational consumer goods company, has inaugurated a new 4,400 m2 Research and Development (R&D) center in Sant Llorenç d’Hortons, Barcelona. The facility is part of a strategic investment plan totaling 100 million euros through 2030, aimed at expanding production capacity and supporting sales growth.

The new center will function as an integrated hub, combining R&D, production, logistics, and packaging in a single location. This move unifies the company’s previously dispersed R&D teams to foster better collaboration and more agile innovation. The facility includes specialized laboratories for Home Care, Personal Care, Adhesives, and Genové, supporting brands such as Norit, Sanytol, Lactovit, Ecran, Giorgi Line, and Ceys.

Equipped with advanced technology to simulate real-world product usage, the center houses specialized laboratories for microbiology, toxicology, and analysis. The facility currently employs approximately 80 professionals, including chemists, pharmacists, biologists, and toxicologists, with the capacity for future growth.
