AC Milan appoints Massimo Calvelli as CEO and Ruben Amorim as head coach

AC Milan has confirmed that Massimo Calvelli is now the club's acting chief executive officer. Following the dismissal of former CEO Giorgio Furlani, Calvelli inherited the authority to manage ordinary and extraordinary administrative matters, with a financial limit of €10 million for individual operations. Larger transactions will still require approval from the club's owners.

In a separate announcement, Portuguese manager Ruben Amorim has reached a verbal agreement to become AC Milan's head coach. The deal runs until June 2028 with an option to extend through June 2029. Amorim, who previously led Sporting CP and had a brief spell at Manchester United, will replace the outgoing coaching staff after the team's fifth‑place finish in Serie A and qualification for the Europa League.
