AC Milan appoints Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim

AC Milan have named former Manchester United and Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim as the club’s new head coach, succeeding Massimiliano Allegri. The two‑year contract runs until 30 June 2028 with an option for a third season, and Amorim will earn about €3.5 million net per year plus performance‑related bonuses.

Amorim, 41, comes to Milan with the backing of club legend Zlatan Ibrahimović and hopes to restore the Rossoneri after a difficult period, including a 14‑month spell at United that ended in dismissal. The Portuguese coach is praised for his modern, youth‑focused style and looks to bring order and ambition back to the Serie A side.
