AC Milan prepares for Atalanta clash following Cissé's historic hat-trick
AC Milan is preparing to host Atalanta at San Siro on October 18, 2026, following a dominant 4-0 victory against Salzburg in the Europa League. The match comes as Milan seeks to maintain their unbeaten Serie A record under manager Ruben Amorim.
Nineteen-year-old Alphadjo Cissé has emerged as a breakout star for the Rossoneri. After scoring a historic hat-trick against Salzburg—becoming the youngest Italian to achieve the feat in a major European competition—Milan is reportedly working to secure his future with a new contract that could extend his stay until 2031 and include a significant salary increase.
Ahead of the Serie A clash, Atalanta manager Maurizio Sarri expressed confidence in his team's recent progress despite facing significant injury concerns and squad absences. While Milan enters the match with momentum, statistical history shows Atalanta has been a difficult opponent, remaining unbeaten in their last six Serie A encounters against the Rossoneri.
