AC Milan faces injury concerns for Samuel Chukwueze

AC Milan is on high alert following a hip injury sustained by Nigerian attacker Samuel Chukwueze. The injury occurred after the team's match against Atalanta, with initial assessments at Milanello suggesting the issue may be serious and could lead to a prolonged absence.

Medical specialists are conducting further examinations to determine the exact extent of the damage and the necessary recovery timeline. The potential loss of Chukwueze poses a tactical challenge for manager Ruben Amorim, as the squad currently lacks a natural alternative for the right flank.

To address this gap, the club may look toward Athekame, a talented Swiss winger currently on loan at Lyon. Athekame has performed exceptionally well in Ligue 1, recording two goals and three assists in seven appearances. However, bringing him back in January could prove difficult due to the lack of a recall clause in his loan agreement and the reluctance of Lyon manager Paulo Fonseca to lose a key player.
