AC Milan seeks new sporting director as ownership faces criticism

Former Milan scout Mauro Bianchessi warned that the club’s owners “do not respect the history of the club and it is an offense to its millions of fans,” blaming a lack of clear leadership for the team’s recent woes.

Negotiations for German director Markus Krösche with Eintracht Frankfurt stalled, prompting Milan to explore internal options. Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported growing support for Jovan Kirovski, currently involved with Milan’s youth project, to take on a senior sporting‑director role and oversee first‑team transfers.

At the same time, the club’s search has highlighted international candidate Devin Ozek as a principal contender for the director‑sportivo position, especially after the appointment of coach Rubén Amorim. Milan’s hierarchy aims to rebuild its technical structure quickly, prioritising a stable sporting director to guide future recruitment.
