AC Milan implements new youth development strategies

AC Milan is implementing new developmental strategies within its youth structures. Sergio Navarro, a 46-year-old Spanish coach with experience at Athletic Bilbao and Villarreal, has taken charge of Milan Futuro, the club’s second team. Navarro is introducing unconventional training methods designed to foster responsibility and collective consciousness. These include tactical sessions where players propose their own ideas on the chalkboard and a unique rule where goals in training scrimmages are only valid if accompanied by a convincing collective celebration.

In tandem with these coaching changes, the club is focusing on specific young talents identified as future top players. Christian Comotto, Lorenzo Torriani, and Francesco Camarda have been highlighted as key prospects intended to eventually support the club’s primary squad. This approach aligns with a broader market strategy of pairing established ‘tier 1’ players with high-potential youth talent.
