AC Milan inks Gonçalo Ramos in record €70 million deal

Portugal international Gonçalo Ramos is set to join AC Milan from Paris Saint‑Germain for a fee reported between €60 million and €70 million, including bonuses. The amount would become the highest transfer in Milan’s history and the second‑most expensive striker signing in Serie A after Romelu Lukaku’s move to Inter in 2019.

Milan’s new coach Ruben Amorim has identified Ramos as his first‑choice forward to revitalise the club’s attack. Ramos, 25, arrived at PSG in 2023 for €65 million from Benfica, where his former club retained a sell‑on clause. Benfica is expected to receive an additional €10‑20 million from the Milan deal, strengthening its finances.

The striker, who has won three Ligue 1 titles and two Champions League trophies with PSG but struggled for regular starts, will be given a central role at San Siro and is expected to feature for Portugal at the upcoming World Cup. The record signing signals Milan’s shift from a cautious spending policy to an ambitious overhaul under Amorim.
